I just finished House of Leaves and found it both experiential & entertaining – an education on the fine line be[confusion & clarity]tween.

As someone whose career is built UPon the written word it was quite inspirational.

Challenging.

Preparing to put the book away I find my spatial awareness keener, & appear to be giving ordinary closets a      w  i  d  e      berth.

I expect these symptoms won’t last ____long____, as revisiting Danielewski’s disclaimer* provides me with the necessary reassurance.

*“This book is a work of fiction.”

One to read if you haven’t. Probably the one book I own that I’ve loaned out the most (and thankfully, have had returned every time so far).

Love House of Leaves. Haven’t read it since high school, but it’s definitely a literary experience; part mystery, part horror and even a bit of a love story. Funny enough, I was just talking with someone about Poe’s album “Haunted” and how this book (written by her brother) tie into each other thematically. Now I’ve got a nerd boner.
